Jesús Alonso Burgos

Jesús Alonso Burgos ( Palencia 1952 ) he has a degree in Law from the University of Valladolid. Since 1978 he has lived in Catalonia, practicing the profession of lawyer. He has worked as a literary critic and collaborated in various Spanish and Ibero-American newspapers and magazines, both in literature and in philosophy. He is the author of three books of poetry: INVENTORY AND POEMS (definitive edition 1979), NAVIGATIONS AND SHIPWRECKS (1987) and SCENES OF THE CELESTIAL CITY (1995); and two essays: EL LUTERANISMO EN CASTILLA DURING THE SIXTEENTH CENTURY (1983) and SYMBOLIC FORMS OF THE RELIGIOUS (1989). He is currently preparing a critical edition of scattered texts by Constancio Bernardo de Quirós.
